Home > L Now > D600 Indoor Cycling Bike

The L Now D600 indoor cycling bike gives you a low-cost way to tone your body without breaking your bank account. L Now D600 is equipped with one of the best types of handlebars and also has a belt-driven system for a smooth and quiet indoor cycling exercise.

D600 also has a phone holder that can securely keep your phone during the exercise. This L-Now spin bike comes with a relatively light flywheel which is fast and excellent for high-cadence workouts. But if you want a heavier flywheel with better momentum, I suggest you check out other models by L-Now.

Unlike a majority of indoor cycling bikes that can’t fit people below 5′, the L Now belt drive indoor cycling bike D600 can fit riders from 4’7″ to 6’1″. And this compact design makes favored by smaller trainees.

Pedals on this L Now D600 bike are not SPD compatible but they are made of aluminum alloy with adjustable straps to prevent feet slip and give more support while pedaling.

Additionally, to help you keep comfortable and provide the needed support during longer rides, the L Now stationary bike D600 also has a well-padded seat with a center cutout for breathability to keep you cool.

Other highlights of L Now D600 indoor cycle include 4 adjustable base levelers, a 1-year warranty on the frame and all the L Now D600 parts, a flywheel sweat resistance protection cover, a water bottle holder, and a small shelf for your phone.

Although “L Now indoor cycling bike smooth belt-driven model D600” has a basic console with a small screen, it shows the time, distance, speed, calories, and pulse. It measures heart rate with grips on the handlebars.

Keep in mind though that the L Now D600 indoor cycling bike lacks vertically handlebars adjustment, tablet holder, convenient bottle holder, and RPM monitoring.

If you’d like the convenience of tablet and water bottle holders built into your spin bike handlebars, consider the L Now LD-528 instead. Two other benefits of choosing the LD528 are its heavy flywheel and fully adjustable handlebars which makes it a good fit for most riders.

Important Note!

This is where we often update and tell our readers if D600 is a good value for the price. For $270, I believe there is a better option (Snode spin bike 8729). It has a heavier flywheel and a better warranty. With that being said, I wouldn’t buy any of these two indoor cycles for $300 in 2020 because, for this price, I can buy a good budget spin bike with magnetic resistance.

Despite the fact that D600 indoor cycling stationary smooth belt-driven bike is a best-seller by L-Now, it is not the best spin bike by this brand. There are at least 7 more L Now stationary exercise bikes on the market, some of which feature commercial quality. If you are interested to find out about them, make sure to check out the link above.

L Now D600 Specifications:

  • Height: 41″
  • Width: 21″
  • Length: 46″
  • Transport Wheels: Yes
  • Foot Levelers: Yes, 4
  • Bike Weight: 77 Pounds
  • Max User Weight: 280 Pounds
  • User Height: 4’7″ to 6’1″
  • Shipping Weight: 85 Pounds

Featuring compact dimensions and large transport wheels, the L Now spinning bike D600 is easy to store and move from one place to another place in the house.

The 77 pounds steel frame capable of supporting up to 280 pounds of user weight indicates the sturdiness while making the bike movement a snap. Unlike cheaply made bikes, this L Now the indoor cycle has wide frame stabilizers to prevent rocking during high intensity out of the saddle workouts.

Additionally, the L Now D600 spin bike has 4 adjustable feet levelers. They will help protect the floor and keep the bike stable on uneven gym floors.

But that is just the beginning of what this residential use L Now spin bike has to offer. The L Now indoor cycling bike trainer belt drive D600 has received two phases of paint to resist corrosion. It also has a sweat resistance flywheel guard and durable belt box to minimize the maintenance.

Although L Now indoor cycling bike D600 is a good budget and lightweight residential use bike, it is not made for commercial use. Considering the features and construction of L Now D600, I don’t recommend it for more than one person’s daily use. For this reason, if multiple people in your house want to exercise, I would suggest you buy a more durable model listed in our best spin bike reviews.

L-Now Model D600 Monitor:

L Now D600 Indoor Cycling Bike Review - D600 Spin Bike Pros and Cons (3)
  • D600 monitor displays the time, cal, HR, speed, and distance (no RPM or watt).
  • The monitor is not compatible with non-coded wireless HR straps.
  • The monitor is non-backlit so it is hard to see the stats in low-light condition.
  • L Now D600 monitor is wired and it is not Bluetooth or ANT/+ enabled.
  • The computer runs on batteries (included).

The L Now exercise bike D600 console is not compatible with wireless heart rate chest straps, but it has pulse sensors allowing you to stay within target heart rate training zones as you workout. In its price class, the D600 fitness monitor is considered fine since there is no indoor cycling bike at this price point to offer a better monitor.

The non-backlit monitor makes it difficult to see your spinning workout stats in the low-light condition. It is also not wireless which means the sensor on the flywheel sends data to the monitor via a cable. Therefore, if you not careful during the ride or when adjusting the handlebars, the wire can be crimped and cause maintenance.

The L Now indoor cycling bike belt-driven D600 does not track the watts. It also doesn’t have internal memory, Bluetooth or ANT/+ connectivity. Therefore, you can’t save daily workouts on the monitor or on spinning Apps.

However, there is an easy solution that enables you to see your RPM, save workout progress on the apps and also compete with other cyclists online. This simple solution includes a Wahoo RPM sensor. It cost $30 and is very popular among indoor cyclists. Search our website for Wahoo sensor and spin bike computer to learn more about this optional accessory.

Pedals and Q-factor:

L Now D600 Indoor Cycling Bike Review - D600 Spin Bike Pros and Cons (4)
  • L Now D600 exercise bike has single side toe cage pedals.
  • Toe pedal straps are adjustable to secure the feet during the ride.
  • The size of Q-factor for this L-Now bike is not disclosed.
  • This indoor cycling bike is built with standard 9/16″ pedal thread.

L Now indoor cycling bike smooth belt driven model D600 features thick and solid crank arms and toe cage pedals. Built and designed with residential standard, the L Now Pro D600 exercise bike can support all spinning workouts including out of the saddle rides. Rest assured, the pedals and crank arms won’t snap off during intense out of the saddle spin workouts.

Unfortunately, the pedals are not SPD compatible which means if you want to use cycling shoes, you need to replace the pedals. But thankfully, this “Live in Now” the indoor bike has the standard 9/16″ pedal thread size. So, you can replace its pedals with pretty much any clipless spin bike pedals (search our website for the best spin bike spd pedals).

The Q-factor, one of the most important features when buying indoor cycling bikes is not disclosed. But since no one is complaining about this aspect, we believe it is anywhere from 7.5″ inches to 8 inches which is acceptable.

In case you are new to indoor cycling, the q factor is the horizontal distance between the two pedals. Wide q factors tend to keep riders’ feet too far apart which can cause injuries if you have narrow hips.

Tip: For a full-body workout with the benefit of better muscle tone you can add out of the saddle workouts to your training with a max resistance for you.

L Now D600 Flywheel:

L Now D600 Indoor Cycling Bike Review - D600 Spin Bike Pros and Cons (5)
  • L Now Pro D600 flywheel weighs 22 pounds to provide a fast, smooth and quiet indoor exercise.
  • The flywheel has a plastic sweat protection guard.
  • It has a fixed-wheel bidirectional flywheel system.

The L Now stationary exercise bike D600 flywheel is not impressive weighing 22 pounds. But it is capable of providing smooth indoor cycling workouts with a large range of challenges to meet the needs of beginner trainees (not elite or mid-level riders).

It is also painted white and black which makes it look good and easy to clean. The polished steel around the perimeter of the flywheel and black/white colors gives the bike a great look.

Just like any other budget indoor cycling exercise bike, the L Now D600 exercise bike is fixed-wheel (fix-gear). Meaning the flywheel moves and stops with the pedals which come with a pro and a con. While it allows you to pedal reverse and simulate different leg muscles, it doesn’t allow you to take a short break or jump off the bike until the flywheel completely stops.

Note: Freewheel bikes are more expensive. They work similarly to bicycles. Meaning even after you stop pedaling, the flywheel still turns. So, you can jump off the bike in case of an emergency or take a few seconds brakes whenever you want, without having to wait for the flywheel to stop.

Model D600 Resistance Technology:

L Now D600 Indoor Cycling Bike Review - D600 Spin Bike Pros and Cons (6)
  • L Now D600 exercise bike has a friction resistance system.
  • The felt pad is made of high-quality wool to minimize the noise.
  • The L Now stationary exercise bike comes with a manually knob adjustment system (not electronically).
  • The resistance system along with the flywheel has a sweat protection cover.
  • L Now D600 indoor cycling bike resistance knob also works as an emergency brake.

This L Now Pro indoor cycling bike has an unlimited resistance system. While it is not as quiet as a magnetic resistance bike, it provides infinite resistance.

Unlike magnetic bikes, it doesn’t have certain levels of resistance. Each knob turn provides a challenging workout to suit the needs of both indoor cyclists and mimics uphill real road riding. So, no matter your fitness level, you can always make the workout more intense with an extra turn of the knob.

When buying the L Now indoor cycling bike D600, you don’t need to worry about the quality of the braking pads. They are made of heat-tolerant high-quality wool which is capable of providing a relatively quiet and smooth ride.

There is also a durable plastic protection guard above the resistance to make sure the braking system stays dry and doesn’t cause maintenance. Overall, it is consistent, durable and quieter than some other cheap friction resistance bikes. But it is not as quiet as the magnetic resistance system, which is why I suggest you consider a magnetic spin bike if you want to make less noise and avoid disturbing your partner during exercise. (Search for the best magnetic spin bikes in this website).

D600 Indoor Cycle Drive System:

L Now D600 Indoor Cycling Bike Review - D600 Spin Bike Pros and Cons (7)
  • L Now indoor cycling bike D600 is belt-driven.
  • It is quiet and requires little maintenance.
  • The gear ratio is not disclosed but estimated 4:1.
  • It has a high-quality belt and a durable belt box.

If you have been reading this L Now indoor cycling bike D600 review, you already know this spin bike is belt-driven. But let’s see why it is better than chain drive bikes.

Belt system doesn’t have hundreds of tiny rings and pins, plates, and rollers like a chine do. Therefore, it has less maintenance and lasts longer. But that is not the only benefit of belt-driven spin bikes.

Featuring belt makes the bike quieter and eliminates the need for oiling. And if the belt is high quality like the one this L Now cycling bike is equipped with, it doesn’t stretch. So, you don’t need to deal with adjustment tools often.

Looking at the size of the belt-ring and 22-pound flywheel, I believe this L Now affordable D600 indoor cycle has a relatively high-gear ratio which means the flywheel turns faster but with less intensity and momentum, especially the very first seconds of exercise.

If you prefer a lower gear ratio system with more momentum and intensity, I recommend you pick a model with a heavier flywheel. But if you prefer a higher gear ratio and faster flywheel which is more similar to road bikes, I suggest the Keiser and Life Fitness IC4, 5, 6, 7, 8 bikes. They are several times more expensive than L-Now D600 but provide up to 12:1 gear ratio. Meaning for each complete pedal stride, the flywheel turns 12 times.

Handlebars and Seat:

L Now D600 Indoor Cycling Bike Review - D600 Spin Bike Pros and Cons (8)
  • Offers multi-grip curved handlebars including racing style drop bars.
  • Fully adjustable seat making it possible for people of most body sizes between 4’7″ – 6’1″ to comfortably exercise.
  • Stainless steel handlebar and seat posts.
  • Handlebars are only 2-way (up/down) adjustable.
  • L Now D600 cycling bike includes built-in phone holder and pulse sensors on the handlebars.

Designed for comfort, the L NOW indoor cycling bike trainer belt drive D600 features an adjustable seat that moves fore and aft as well as up and down so that many trainees can acquire a safe custom fit.

The seat is cushioned and breathable with a center cut-out to keep the rider cook and reduce pressure during summer rides. It is a comfortable seat and rare to find on budget spin bikes.

However, unlike a few other L-Now spin bikes, the 600 handlebars are only vertically adjustable which is the biggest con I can find for the L Now indoor cycling bike D600. But it is NOT a deal-breaker because this bike does not have a V-shape (offset) frame.

If it did have a V-shape frame like Keiser bikes, the lack of horizontal adjustment wouldn’t have allowed the riders above 6 feet to exercise comfortably. But since the D600 has a parallel frame, it can accommodate riders up to 6’1″ comfortably despite its lack of customizable handlebars.

To make up for the lack of adjustment, the handlebars feature racing style grip and the climbing position grip. On top of that, there is also one easy to reach phone holders built-into the handlebars to allow you to stay entertained during the exercise. Unfortunately, the media holder is built only for the phone and cannot hold bigger devices.

Additionally, this indoor cycle features a high-quality knob adjustment system. They tighten nicely, so you don’t need to worry about the bike jostling during intense indoor cycling workout.

As I mentioned earlier in this L Now D600 reviews, the seat is soft padded and comfortable to support the long rides. So, when you buy L NOW D600 indoor cycling bike, you don’t necessarily need a seat cover or seat replacement. However, if you want to change the seat, the replacements are widely available on the market because this bike uses the standard seat clamp size.

Live in Now D600 Price and Warranty:

  • L Now indoor cycling bike D6600 price is around $300.
  • This D600 indoor cycle includes residential warranty:
  • 1-Year on the frame and all the L-Now indoor cycling bike parts.
  • This bike doesn’t come with a labor warranty.
  • To order parts under warranty you can contact the seller through Amazon messages or through this email LNOWBIKE@hotmail.com.

Depending on where you buy this L Now spin bike the price is different. On Amazon U.S, you can purchase the L Now indoor cycling bike smooth belt driven model D600 for under $350. However, in some other countries, the price for some of these L-Now bikes are really high and I don’t recommend them because there are better options at those price points

On Amazon U.S. you may also find the L Now spin bike D600 discounted sometimes, but that doesn’t happen often since there is a high demand for L-Now spin bikes.

It comes with a 1-year warranty for the entire bike which is better than what Some other brands offer (90-days) but not as good as what Schwinn Fitness, Sole Fitness or BodyCraft offer (you can search for Schwinn, BodyCraft and Sole spin bikes on this website).

Shipping and Assembly:

  • The L Now D600 manual and assembly tools are included.
  • L-Now D600 assembly is fairly easy with only a few parts to install.
  • Set-up time is only about 30 minutes because the unit arrives mostly assembled.
  • This bike includes free shipping in the U.S.
  • D600 ships in one box that weighs around 80 pounds.
  • Expert assembly is not included.

The D600 comes with free shipping and in one relatively lightbox that weighs around 80lbs. You can ask the carrier to help bring the bike inside or unbox the bike outside and bring inside in tow pieces.

Aside from the bike, there are the L Now indoor cycling bike assembly tools and manuals in the box. So, you wouldn’t need to buy, borrow or use other tools for assembly of D600 bike.

The L Now cycling exercise bike D600 comes about 80% assembled, which helps you save $70 on assembly cost. The remaining assembly is relatively straight-forward but still might take you 30 minutes to an hour.

The assembly manual is very easy to follow as long as you pay attention to detail and have little mechanical common sense. It is recommended to do the assembly with 2 people.

The parts that you need to assembly are leg stabilizers, pedals, seat, handlebars, and monitor. The flywheel, drive mechanism and crank arms come pre-assembled.

L Now D600 Belt Driven Bike Pros:

Belt driven system:
This L Now D600 indoor bike guarantees a smooth, natural feel and workout experience easy on the joints. The belt-driven system helps create a quiet and low-maintenance workout. Unlike chain-driven bikes, D600 doesn’t require lubing so your gym floor remains clean.

Ergonomic design:
Although lacking in adjustable handlebars, this L Now Pro indoor cycle is built with the user comfort in mind with a padded breathable seat, multi-grip curved handlebars, and water bottle holder within an arm’s reach.

Handlebars:
While the lack of vertical adjustment on the handlebar is the main con of D600, the multi-grip design of the handlebar is the main pro on D600. This bike comes with racing style drop handlebars to allow multiple riding postures to make your training more comprehensive.

Heart Rate
L Now D600 indoor cycling bike tracks rider’s heart rate “HR” via built-in pulse sensors on the handlebars. Knowing your HR is an important factor, especially if your doctor advises you to stay within a certain HR range. Also looking at the heart rate, you can understand which exercise zone you are. For, example 100-120 beats per minute indicates you are in the health improvement zone while 120-150 beats per minute indicates you are in the fitness zone (fat burning zone).

  • Durable transport wheels for easy indoor portability.
  • 4 Adjustable base levelers for a steady and stable ride on all types of floors.
  • Affordable price and good value for the money.
  • Phone bracket for your cell phone while exercising.
  • Flywheel sweat protection guard to decrease maintenance work.
  • L Now spin bike D600 features an easy assembly process.
  • 4-Way adjustable seat combined with multi-grip handlebars provides a comfortable ride for riders.
  • Equipped with a sturdy steel frame and 300 pounds weight capacity.

L Now D600 Belt Driven Bike Cons:

Pedals
L-Now D600 spin bike comes with toe caged pedals only. So, if you want to use clipless spinning shoes, you will need to replace the pedals. A pair of dual-sided Shimano compatible pedals cost around $40. Thankfully this L-Now belt driven spin bike comes with standard 9/16″ pedals thread size. So, the SPD replacement pedals are available widely.

Handlebars:
The major design con of D600 indoor cycling bike by L-Now is its 2-way adjustable handlebars. While the handlebars can be adjusted horizontally, they are not vertically adjustable. Therefore, some riders may not find the perfect bike fit on this D600 L Now spin bike.

Bike monitor:
The console is fairly basic and comes without the backlight, Watt, RPM, ANT/+ or Bluetooth connectivity. Although, this type of monitor is not too unusual for budget spin bikes. So, this bike’s low-tech monitor is not considered a deal-breaker as you wouldn’t get better than this unless you spend $400+.

Frictions resistance
L Now indoor cycling bike smooth belt driven D600 creates a bit of noise and requires more maintenance compared to magnetic resistance spin bikes. On friction resistance bikes, the brake pad comes in direct contact with the flywheel and wears out after a few years of use.

  • No Bluetooth or ANT/+ connectivity.
  • The L-Now D600 isn’t equipped with tablet stand (it only has a phone holder).

Last Word on the L-Now Indoor Cycling Bike Smooth Belt Driven Model D600.

The L Now D600 indoor cycling bike can be a good match for beginners and people who already have some indoor cycling experience. It offers a good range of challenges with its 25-pound fast flywheel and friction resistance system.

This indoor cycle also helps keep motivation high with plenty of hand-grip positions and a phone holder. We would suggest you check out higher models before buying though because L-Now sometimes offers good deals on more durable spin bikes.

L Now’s new D600 spin bike for 2019 features a nicer design and better look which is a fun match for people in the earlier stages of spin workout training.

It has an adequate force to keep a beginner challenged, motivated and help to reach new levels of physical fitness. L Now D600 is especially favored by smaller trainees who find that standard health spinning class cycles are a bit too large for their height.
